체르노빌에 인접한 벨라루스는

인구의 절 반 이상이 방사능 피폭되어 정상적인 삶이 어려운

더 고통스런 것은 기형아, 면역결핍 등으로 인한 각종 질병과 비정상 아기들이 태어나 하루 하루를 힘겹게 살아가고 있다는 무서운 사실

 

이미 독일의 전자밴드 'Kraftwerk'는 오래 전부터 경고하고 있었다.

독일 일렉트로닉 밴드 크라프트베르크(Kraftwerk)의 곡 가운데 우리 귀에 가장 익은 곡 Radioactivity입니다. '방사능'이란 뜻이죠. 1975년에 발표된 크라프트베르크의 5번째 스튜디오 앨범 Radio-Activtiy에 수록됐던 곡. 계속 뚜뚜뚜뚜뚜뚜뚜뚜 하는 모르스 신호가 나오고.... 그 사이로 무슨 주문 외우듯 독일어 같은 영어가 흘러 나오고 실제 독일어도 흘러나오죠. "방사능, 너와 내가 숨쉬는 공기 중에 퍼져 있어. 방사능, 퀴리 부인에 의해 발견됐지. 방사능, 멜로디에 주파수를 맞추고 있어..." 1975년에 나왔다는 것이 믿기지 않을 정도로, 정말 독창적이고 정말 센세이션널한 곡이죠. 참고로 유튜브 들어가 보시면 알겠지만, 이 Radioactivity는 노랫말 버전이 아주 다양합니다. 별로 중요한 문제인 거 같자 않아, 어떤 노랫말이 오리지널인지 알아보지는 않았습니다.
